The Bubble Nebula

NGC 7635 / SH2-162

Exposure:      L = 12 x 10 min.(1x1); RGB = 6 x 10 min.(all 2x2).  Five hours total exposure time.
Date:              8/15,16/09

Comments:   An interesting question is whether this is a spherically shaped plasma or  perhaps is more of a cylindrical or hourglass shape viewed end-on. (??)

The big, bright blue/white star in the center-right is only magnitude 7 and so is too dim to be seen with the naked eye from typical locations.
